what is Melasma Peel ?
A MELASMA PEEL is a topical brightening treatment that targets all types of brown patches and skin discolorations. It significantly reduces the blemishes caused by increase Melanin production by gently fading the pigment and suppressing further pigment from resurfacing. This treatment is designed to address all types of pigmentation concerns including melasma. It is suitable for all skin types, it will lighten and brighten the skin, equalising skin tone and increase luminosity.

This treatment consists of a specialised system aiming to:

The MELASMAN PEEL works by decreasing the skin’s melanin production by inhibition of the enzyme tyrosinase. Inhibition of the tyrosinase is only activated during treatment application. When finished, the enzyme recovers its activity producing new melanin, particularly if there is sun exposure. Due to this, application of Home care products must be used to maintain results.
A mask is applied at our clinic that remains on your face for 8 hours. The mask is washed off at home and you may expect up to 10 days of light to heavy peeling, redness, sensitivity and mild swelling. The result? After the initial week, skin appears luminous, revived, fresh and smooth. The pack includes take home products to assist in the skins healing phase and prevent pigment from returning. It is imperative that you stick to the home care regime prescribed for you in order to keep the pigment from returning. Possible side effects include: swelling, pain, high sensitivity, itching, scalping, superficial desquamation, erythema, acne or herpes simplex breakout, hyper or hypo pigmentation of the area treated. The downtime can last for up to five days.
The treatment itself takes about 20-30 mins.
